March Forward! stands firmly against the Israeli onslaught on the people of Palestine in the Gaza Strip.
As veterans who have served in Washington’s imperialist wars, from Vietnam to Iraq, we know all too well what colonial occupation looks like. For many of us, it was the participation in these occupations—our role as the armed thugs made to repress the indigenous populations—that shaped our consciousness and turned us against this criminal government. That is why we feel it is our duty to fight to end the occupation of Palestine, an occupation that has created one of the most tragic humanitarian crises in history.
The first protest action March Forward! ever took part in upon our founding was marching shoulder-to-shoulder with tens of thousands in Washington, D.C. during Israel's genocidal 'Operation: Cast Lead.' We are continuing our dedication to the Palestinian struggle by mobilizing for protests around the country against the current onslaught.
U.S. service members and veterans from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars must recognize that U.S. policy towards the Palestinian people—exercized through the financial, military and political support for the state of Israel—is part of the same coordinated regional strategy that sent us and our friends to kill and die for the interests of the big banks and corporations. Destroying all resistance to the economic and military interests of the U.S. Empire is the only thing behind the offensive on Gaza City.
March Forward! has been organizing and participating in protest actions against Israel's war on the people of Gaza. We encourage all of our members and supporters to do the same. Click here for a regularly updates list of nationwide actions!
